Some of you might have heard of Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi only recently, but the company’s actually been around for five years already. Well, it will have been this April. To celebrate its birthday, Xiaomi seems to be planning to launch a new smartphone, as well as a smartwatch.
According to information found on Xiaomi’s official forums, we will learn more about these new devices on March 31, when Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, will host an event. It’s still unclear how many devices Xiaomi will launch, but the blog post from the forums hints at more than one.
Xiaomi has already announced a couple of devices since the start of 2015, including the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro, and a second generation Mi TV (40”, running Android). However, on March 31, we might see a mid-range smartphone (could this be the recently leaked phone codenamed Ferrari?), and a smartwatch, which will allegedly be made of metal, have a round face, and monitor health in a completely new way.
Once we have more info about both devices, we will let you know.
