IFA 2014 is just around the corner, and we know that all the major smartphone manufacturers are going to be extremely busy during this period. However, some companies have already announced new handsets, ahead of IFA, including LG and HTC, and here’s what we’ve got.
LG Gx2
Another Android smartphone by the South Korean giant, this time with a 5.7in screen, a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. In terms of memory, you get 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage, and the handset is powered by a 3,200mAh battery (removable). In the front is a 1.3-megapixel shooter, while in the back there is an 8-megapixel main camera. The exact launch date is yet to be announced, but we know that the Gx2 will support LTE and LTE-A.
HTC Desire 510
This newcomer comes with mid-range specs, including a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor (the first 64-bit Snapdragon chipset to appear on an actual device), 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage (expandable). The handset sports a 4.7in FWVGA display, a 5-megapixel camera, and runs Android 4.4 KitKat with the Sense UI. The Desire 510 is expected to be highly affordable, and will roll out to Europe, Asia, and some parts of the US.
