LG has officially confirmed the global launch of its LG G Watch R. The watch will go on sale in France, Spain, Italy, and the UK at the start of November, followed by North America, Asia, and CIS countries soon after that. Although the company is yet tor reveal the pricing details for the device for each country, we know that it will cost about £230 in the UK.
“While the original G Watch was designed to be a no-nonsense, pure Android Wear device, the G Watch R was developed with a more aesthetic eye. The G Watch R represents LG’s commitment to meld form and functionality together in perfect harmony and to create a device that not only looks great but more importantly, offers technology that makes life more convenient,” said the president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
The G Watch R comes with the new Android Wear update (compatible with phones running Android 4.3 or higher), a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, a 1.3” P-OLED display, 4GB of storage, and 512MB of RAM. Other specs include a 410mAh battery, IP67 certification, and various sensors, one of them being a heart rate monitor.
