If a couple of screenshots snapped by Hamza Sood (a developer who has access to internal builds of iOS 8) are to be trusted, iOS 8 could come with some necessary improvements and changes, including a customizable Control Centre.
Apple announced a new version of its OS (iOS 8) during the WWDC 2014, but they failed to mention this feature. At the moment, Control Centre offers a limited amount of features and shortcuts, which is fine for the most part, but what if you wanted to change up controls? Switch one out for another?
The leaked screenshot shows that iOS 8 might allow its users to customize the features in Control Centre. Whether or not developers will be able to add their own apps and shortcuts remains to be seen. For now, it looks like they might be limited to Apple’s apps.
Sood posted other screenshots in the past that turned out to be real, which means that there might be some truth to this rumour. Sood also suggested that Control Centre could be scrollable, as well, meaning that users might be able to add more shortcuts and toggles.
As soon as we learn more, we’ll let you know.
