HTC will hold its CES event on January 5, the same day as Samsung, LG, and Sony, and instead of the expected HTC Hima, the company will most likely reveal new Desire smartphones during the press conference.
HTC posted a teaser on Weibo that says “Always Desire more”, which clearly means that we will be seeing more of the Desire lineup at CES 2015. If you think about it, neither the HTC One, nor the the One M8 weren’t introduced at CES, but before and after the MWC shows. With this in mind, the HTC Hima will probably arrive in February or even March, and will have its own standalone event.
One of the Desire phones has to be the leaked HTC A-12 – a mid-range device with a Snapdragon 410 processor, and a 4.7” 720p display. Other rumoured specs include 1GB of RAM, a 2,100mAh battery, and an 8-megapixel camera.
As soon as we have more details about these upcoming handsets, we will let you know!
