HP recently announced two new budget-friendly tablets and laptops that will fall into its Stream family, so if you’re looking to save up some money and do not expect extremely powerful devices, then these tablets and laptops are the way to go. The tablets’ price will start at $99 (about €80), while the laptops’ at $199.99 (about €160).
The tablets will run Windows 8.1 and will sport either 7” or 8” screens. They will be powered by Intel’s processors, and will come with a 1-year Microsoft Office 365 Personal subscription that will include 1TB of OneDrive and 60 minutes of Skype each month. The 8” model will also include additional 200MB of free LTE data for each month, without an annual contract for the life of the device.
As for the laptops, you’ll get to choose between two models, as well – a 11.6” and a 13.3” one. Both will feature HD displays and a fanless design, and will be powered by Intel’s Celeron processor. They’ll come with 32GB of eMMC flash memory, and the same 1-year Office 365 subscription like the tablets, plus 1TB of OneDrive storage. With the laptops, you’ll also receive a $25 gift card for Windows Store apps and games. The laptops will be available in magenta and blue, so you’ll be able to choose the one you that suits you better. 🙂
HP is yet to reveal more details about these new devices, but we’ve learned that all four of them are expected to launch this November.
