It’s happened to all of us at least once: you’re supposed to meet your friend in half an hour, when you realize that your phone is almost completely out of power. Half an hour is definitely not enough time to charge it back up!
Or is it?
Here are a couple of tips that should speed up the charging time of your favourite device. 🙂
Close All Apps and Enable the Airplane Mode
Before you connect your phone to the charger, make sure to close any open apps and then enable the Airplane mode. The latter will not only turn off all of your handset’s wireless radios, but also prevent you from making calls, using the GPS and any Wi-Fi networks. This way, your phone will charge somewhat faster.
Turn Off Your Phone Completely
Your phone won’t gain super-charging powers with this trick, but it will still power up a bit faster (improving by a few minutes) than when turned on. If you’re dependent on the clock, alarm features and reminders, then this might not be the solution for you. However, when in a rush, beggars can’t be choosers – every second counts.
Note: Charging time varies depending on how powerful your charger is and how large your phone’s battery is.
Leave Your Phone Alone
Don’t check whether your device is charged every couple of minutes. The backlight and the display require more power, which in turn drains your battery. So, when you connect your phone to the charger, leave it be and then just grab it minutes before you leave your house.
